Centro-Matic announces new album & tour, coming to Chapel Hill

Texas band Centro-Matic are gearing up to self-release their overdue tenth studio album in April titled Candidate Waltz. The album was started in 2009, but was put on hold for a while when frontman Will Johnson joined the Monsters of Folk on tour as their drummer. The album is now done, as these things usually unfold, the band will hit the road to support it.

The third date of their upcoming tour is at Local 506 in Chapel Hill on Saturday, June 25. Sarah Jaffe will open the show. Ticket info is not available yet, but we'll keep you posted.

Check out the music video for the song "Only in My Double Mind" from Candidate Waltz below. The video documents the painting of the album cover for the album. Oh and there are some chickens too. Wild stuff.
