It was quite a bummer when it was announced last year that Violet Vector and the Lovely Lovelies would be splitting up after one final show at Local 506 (check out a review and photos of that show HERE). Frontwoman and songwriter Amanda Lindsey said she would return with a new project and now it's here.
The project is called Glass Daffodil and the first two songs have been released via the pay what you want model via the group's Bandcamp page. The songs were recorded with Mitch Easter at Fidelitorium studio in Kernersville, NC.
Lindsey's Violet Vector cohorts Karen Blanco (organ and harpsichord) and Matt Lesperance (drums) play on the song "Fortune Favors." Easter and Lindsey play all the parts on "Hall of Gems." Both songs are killer so be sure to check them out and pay a little something for them while you're at it.
