New show announcements: Modest Mouse & Brand New, Ringo Starr, Phil Cook

The spring and summer show announcements just keep coming and there are a few big ones to let you know about, so let's get started.

First up, rockers Brand New and Modest Mouse are teaming up for a co-headlining tour this summer that will bring them to Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary on Wednesday, July 6. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 29, via the venue box office and Etix for $39.99 to $49.99.

Next up, Ringo Starr will bring His All Star Band back to the Triangle this year, this time to play Koka Booth Amphitheater on Saturday, June 18. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 5, via Etix for $50 to $129.50.

New show announcements: Peter Hook, Sean Watkins, Eric Bachmann

Tis the season for tons of new show announcements, and we've got another batch to let you know about this week.

First up, former Joy Division and New Order bassist Peter Hook and his band The Light will return to the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Tuesday, November 22, to perform the Joy Division and New Order compilation album Substance in its entirety and sequentially. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. today, January 22, via Ticketfly for $25.

Pearl Jam announces 2016 spring/summer tour, coming to Raleigh

Long-standing rockers Pearl Jam have just announced their 2016 tour plans that will take them to big venues across North America this spring and summer.

The tour will bring the band to PNC Arena in Raleigh on Wednesday, April 20. Tickets will go on sale at noon on Friday, January 29, via the venue box office and Ticketmaster for $68.

Pearl Jam's latest album is 2013's Lightning Bolt, but check out an official audio bootleg of the band performing the No Code track "Smile" at a show in Massachusetts in 2013 below.

New show announcements: Widespread Panic & Jason Isbell, Weezer & Panic! at the Disco, Heart, Joan Jett & Cheap Trick

A bunch of big shows were announced at the end of last week, including the first notable big shed shows of 2016, each of which features multiple performers teaming up for really big shows.

First up, jam band Widespread Panic and acclaimed singer-songwriter Jason Isbell will take a big venue leap when they come to the Triangle this spring to play Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh on Saturday, April 30. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, via Live Nation for $45 to $55.

Next up Weezer and Panic! at the Disco, both with new albums out this year, will play Walnut Creek Amphitheatre on Tuesday, June 21. Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness will open. Tickets will go on sale at noon on Friday, January 22 via Live Nation for $25 to $75. Various pre-sales will begin as early as 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19.

New shows: Of Monsters and Men, CeeLo Green & M. Ward

Here's another trio of newly announced shows coming to the Triangle this spring.

The first is young Icelandic folk pop band Of Monsters and Men who will play the Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh on Wednesday, June 15. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 15, via Ticketmaster and the Duke Energy Center box office for $25 to $45. The Live Nation pre-sale starts at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 14.

Next up is R&B star CeeLo Green who will play the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh on Sunday, March 13. Tickets are on sale now via Etix for $29.50 (general admission floor) to $45 (reserved balcony).

New shows: All Dogs, Eleanor Friedberger, Dr. Dog

All Dogs
There are a bunch of new shows headed to the Triangle this spring, and here are a few notable ones.

First, up and coming Ohio rockers All Dogs will play the Cat's Cradle Back Room in Carrboro on Wednesday, March 9. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketfly for $7.

Next, Dr. Dog will play the Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw for two nights, March 30 and 31. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketfly for $22.

Johnny Gallagher announces January tour, coming to Durham

Singer-songwriter Johnny Gallagher, also known in film, television and theater as John Gallagher, Jr., will release his debut album on January 15 titled Six Day Hurricane. He'll hit the road in support of it this month and will stop in the Triangle.

Gallagher will play The Pinhook in Durham on Sunday, January 24. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketfly for $18.
