Sondre Lerche preps new album & tour, coming to Carrboro

Norwegian singer-songwriter Sondre Lerche is preparing to release a self-titled album, his sixth full-length (not counting the Dan in Real Life soundtrack), on June 7 via Mona Records and he'll hit the road with a full band to support it.

The tour will bring Lerche to the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Thursday, June 9. Tickets for the show will go on sale on Friday, March 4 via etix for $15.

I believe this may be the first time that Lerche has played the Triangle since 2003 when he opened for Nada Surf at the Cradle. A preview of the new album isn't available yet, but he did release a new song titled "Trying To Say Goodbye" exclusively via the RightTrackTunes.org to benefit cancer research and treatment.
