Video: Arcade Fire win album of the year Grammy, perform "Month of May" & "Ready To Start"

Tonight was a huge night for Arcade Fire and their Durham-based label Merge Records. After losing two Grammy awards earlier in the night to The Black Keys, Arcade Fire pulled out a last minute win in the one category that matters most — album of the year.

They beat out Lady Gaga, Eminem, Lady Antebellum and Katy Perry to win the award. As they emerged from backstage, they looked stunned and giddy as they accepted the award from Kris Kristofferson and Barbara Streisand immediately following their performance of their lone punk tune "Month of May." After accepting the award, they played an encore of the song "Ready To Start." Watch the performances and the band accepting the award below.

Of the 5 nominees, The Suburbs was definitely MY favorite, but I'm surprised that The Suburbs beat Lady Gaga.
