The sometimes dreary, yet infectious melodies of Aimee Mann, one of my favorite singer-songwriters, will be filling small clubs on the east coast this spring on a stripped down tour with bassist Paul Bryan and keyboardist Jamie Edwards.
The tour will play the small ArtsCenter in Carrboro on Sunday, April 17. Tickets will be $25 in advance and will go on sale on Friday, February 25 via etix.
Mann's latest album is 2008's @#%&*! Smilers. She has been working on a musical based on her 2005 album The Forgotten Arm, and has been performing new songs written for it at recent shows. Check out a video of her performing two of these new songs, "Conflicted" and "Eiffel Tower," below (both songs are in the same video.
