New music from Ryan Adams - "Lucky Now"

North Carolina singer-songwriter Ryan Adams, who now calls California home, is back with his first proper album of new music since 2008's Cardinology. He released a collection of unreleased songs from earlier sessions with his band The Cardinals titled III/IV as well as a "metal" album called Orion in last year.

His new solo album, titled Ashes & Fire, is due out on October 10 released on PAX AM / Capitol Records. Legendary producer Glyn Johns produced the album, which features an array of musicians including Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Norah Jones. Check out the track list below.

The first new song from the album, "Lucky Now," has been released online and is a fantastic, somber little number. Stream it below.

Adams will set out on a west coast tour in the fall, but there are no east coast dates announced yet. Hopefully he'll grace the Triangle with his presence for the first time since 2005 as he promotes the new album.
