Violet Vector and the Lovely Lovelies rock Planet Earth Celebration

Saturday afternoon was a beautiful day in the Triangle. Not only did we have some great weather but those in downtown Raleigh for the Planet Earth Celebration were treated to a great set by Violet Vector and the Lovely Lovelies.

The band played a killer set full of new and old songs that sounded phenomenal. Every time I've seen the band they just get better and better. And if the new songs are an indicator, the group's second EP due out this year on Color Wheel Records should knock your socks off. The new songs included "What's Going on in Your World?" which you can hear a rough mix of on MySpace.

The Huguenots joined the band on stage for their final song and turned it into a big party. Unfortunately we missed The Huguenots set earlier in the day. Pre-noon sets are just a bit too early.

Check out Violet Vector and the Lovely Lovelies' upcoming dates below as well as a bunch of photos from the gig.
