Soul man
John Legend is gearing up for a big summer tour that will keep him busy from late June to September. He will return to the Triangle on July 12 playing Cary's Booth Amphitheatre.
Ticket info is not available yet, but we'll add it once it is.The fanclub pre-sale will start on May 10 at 10am and the general on sale starts on Friday, May 15 at noon
here. Tickets will range from $41 to $66.
Legend was named
Billboard's #1 green artist for his environmental and political activism and for his green touring practices last month. His upcoming tour will make use of environmental organization REVERB to neutralize carbon use and coordinate with venues to ensure green practices. Eco-friendly merchandise will be available at the gigs and an online carpooling site will be launched soon in hopes to reduce vehicle emissions. It's all pretty cool.
The tour is in support of his latest album
Evolver which was released in October. It's certainly not winter anymore, but check out Legend's performance of the hilariously suggestive song "Nutmeg" from Stephen Colbert's Christmas special below. You'll find the tour dates down there too.
