Dinosaur Jr. announces 'Bug' tour, coming to Carrboro

Veteran rockers Dinosaur Jr. are hitting the road this June to play their classic 1988 album Bug in it's entirety. The U.S. portion of the tour includes just eight dates and will conclude right here in the Triangle.

They'll play the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Monday, June 27. Henry Rollins will interview the band live onstage and L.A. punk band Off! Mac McCaughan (of Superchunk and Portastatic) will open the show. Tickets are on sale now via etix for $25.

Check out a 2008 performance of the opening track from Bug, "Freak Scene," below. The album was reissued by Merge Records in 2005.
