Boz Scaggs & Michael McDonald announce summer tour, coming to Cary

Mellow singer-songwriters Boz Scaggs and Michael McDonald teamed up last summer along with Donald Fagan for a late summer-early fall tour. The pair will hit the road again this summer, but without Fagan this time.

Scaggs and McDonald will play the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary on Friday, July 15. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, May 6 at 10 a.m. via the box office and the usual places for $35 (lawn seats) or $50 (reserved seats).

Both Scaggs and McDonald released their most recent studio albums in 2008, Speak Low and Soul Speak respectively. Check out Scaggs performing the song "Save Your Love For Me" from Speak Low on Conan's old Late Night show below

McDonald has scored some indie points recently, recording the song "Some Children" with the band Holy Ghost! Listen to that song below. He also recorded the song "While You Wait For the Others" with Grizzly Bear in 2009. Check out that song below too, which is fantastic.
