Roman Candle's new album gets release date

Roman Candle are currently wrapping up work on their new album Oh Tall Tree in the Ear. Skip wrote on the band's blog that they're wrapping up the final mix edits and will master the album on Thursday. The truly big news is that album now has a release date. Oh Tall Tree will be out on May 12 via Carnival Music.

While wrapping up the album, the band is simultaneously working on the second EP of four they're releasing prior to the album. The track list for the album isn't out yet, but it should contain one album track and three b-sides like the first EP. The cover of the second EP will feature art by Nashville artist Emily Leonard.

Roman Candle also finally have a local show on the books. The band will open The Old Ceremony's album release party at the Cat's Cradle on Valentine's Day (February 14). Tickets are on sale now via etix.com for $10.

Roman Candle drummer Logan Matheny will also head out to plays drums on the first four dates of The Rosebuds' upcoming tour which starts on Wednesday. Check out the dates here.

So, as you can see, the world of Roman Candle is jam-packed right now. Hopefully the Triangle will see more of the band as the album release draws closer.
