Merge reissuing Archers of Loaf Albums, starting with 'Icky Mettle'

Not only have the reunited Archers of Loaf added more dates to their tour, including a second Cat's Cradle show, but now Merge Records is planning to re-release remastered versions of the band's albums.

It will start with their 1993 debut album Icky Mettle, out on August 2. In addition to album, the release will include The Greatest of All Time EP as well as other singles and b-sides from the Icky-era.

Download of one of those out-of-print b-sides, "What Did You Expect?," included on the album below.

Pre-ordering the album via Merge's website will get you an early download of the album as well as live footage of the band's set at the Cat's Cradle in January (check out photos and a review of that set HERE). And for a limited time, as long as they last, orders will include a poster featuring the album art.

Reissues of the albums Vee Vee, All the Nation's Airports and White Trash Heroes will be out in 2012.
