Superchunk releasing remastered 'No Pocky,' 'On the Mouth'

With the band's first album in nine years due out in Sept., Superchunk are getting thing rolling a bit earlier by rereleasing two of their classic albums in August. Remastered versions of 1991's No Pocky For Kitty and 1993's On the Mouth will hit record stores on Aug. 17 on vinyl (with a download coupon) and CD (in cardboard, LP-style packaging).

The albums were remastered from the original 1/2" master tapes by Jason Ward at Chicago Mastering Company. The remasters sound fantastic. Download "Skip Steps 1 & 3" from No Pocky For Kitty Below and download both albums in their entirety here.

A month later after the remasters, on Sept. 14 to be exact, the band will release their new album Majesty Shredding. Check out more details here, but download the album's first single "Digging For Something" below, which is currently available on 7" vinyl (more details on the release here).
