The Experience Hendrix Tour is gearing up for a 2010 run that will pay tribute to the late, great Jimi Hendrix with an all-star line-up. Among the musicians performing is Billy Cox (of Band of Gypsys and The Jimi Hendrix Experience), Joe Satriani, Robert Randloph, Johnny Lang, Brad Whitford (of Aerosmith) and others. Check out the full list below.Among the dates is a stop at Durham's increasingly popular Durham Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 28. Tickets for the show will go on sale Saturday, January 16 at 10 a.m. here.

Kenny Wayne Sheppard was on fire.... In Living Color and Robert Randolph were good too (Joe Satriani and these guys were why I came to the show). Unfortunately, they should have shot the sound board man in the head after two songs. It was important to get the settings right for the reverb effects. They botched it big time and it wound up sounding like a bunch of noise half the time. Also, they needed a vocalist or at least someone to turn up the vocal mics for certain songs and they didn't do any board adjust at all. A shame really. Maybe it was me, but I didn't hear/see them introduce Joe Satriani. I was wondering if he was playing in the background, but I didn't see his bald head anywhere..... Happy 40th Jimi, rock on Little Wing.
