Joe Satriani announces 2013 tour, coming to Durham

Guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani released his 14th studio album last month titled Unstoppable Momentum and he has embarked on a big world tour in support of it which includes a North American leg in late summer and the fall.

The tour will stop at the Carolina Theatre in Durham on Tuesday, September 24. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 7, via the venue box office and Ticketmaster for $38 to $88.

All-star Jimi Hendrix tributed tour coming to Durham

The Experience Hendrix Tour is gearing up for a 2010 run that will pay tribute to the late, great Jimi Hendrix with an all-star line-up. Among the musicians performing is Billy Cox (of Band of Gypsys and The Jimi Hendrix Experience), Joe Satriani, Robert Randloph, Johnny Lang, Brad Whitford (of Aerosmith) and others. Among the dates is a stop at Durham's increasingly popular Durham Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 28. Tickets for the show will go on sale Saturday, January 16 at 10 a.m. here. Ticket prices are not yet listed, but other shows on the tour are selling for $80 and less. We'll keep you posted on the tickets. Tickets are $39.50, $57.50 or $75.
