Experience Hendrix Tour announces spring dates, coming to Greensboro

For those who may have missed the all-star tribute to Jimi Hendrix, dubbed Experience Hendrix, when it came to the Durham Performing Arts Center in 2010, never fear, because they're hitting the road again in the spring.

The tour will stop at the War Memorial Auditorium in Greensboro on Wednesday, March 7. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster for $39 to $75.

The new tour features and number of performers featured on the 2010 tour as well as some new faces. The Greensboro lineup includes Billy Cox (of The Band of Gypsies and Jimi Hendrix Experience), Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Robert Randolph, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dweezil Zappa, Brad Whitford (of Aerosmith), The Slide Brothers, Chris Layton (of Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble) and Mato of Indigenous.

All-star Jimi Hendrix tributed tour coming to Durham

The Experience Hendrix Tour is gearing up for a 2010 run that will pay tribute to the late, great Jimi Hendrix with an all-star line-up. Among the musicians performing is Billy Cox (of Band of Gypsys and The Jimi Hendrix Experience), Joe Satriani, Robert Randloph, Johnny Lang, Brad Whitford (of Aerosmith) and others. Check out the full list below.

Among the dates is a stop at Durham's increasingly popular Durham Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 28. Tickets for the show will go on sale Saturday, January 16 at 10 a.m. here. Ticket prices are not yet listed, but other shows on the tour are selling for $80 and less. We'll keep you posted on the tickets. Tickets are $39.50, $57.50 or $75.
