Megafaun announces new dates, playing Carrboro

The bearded wonders of Megafaun are showing no signs of slowing down in 2010. There are already rumblings about the follow-up to the band's sophomore album Gather, Form & Fly coming sometime this year, but the band are going to stay busy playing shows.

They've just announced a bunch of new North American dates that will follow their European tour in March. The dates include a show at the Cat's Cradle on Friday, May 7. Mount Moriah and Great White Jenkins will open the show. There's no info on tickets yet, but we'll keep you posted. Tickets will go on sale on February 3 for $10 via etix.com. Megafaun will also be playing the Trotter Building in Durham this Friday, January 29 to raise money for the Central Park School For Children's arts program. Tea & Tempest, Hammer No More the Fingers, Midtown Dickens and The Beast are also on the bill. Hopefully the pending snow won't put the brakes on the show.
