The Americana Music Association recently released their list of the top 100 Americana albums of 2008 based on radio plays. Tift Merritt's latest album Another Country scored the number five spot with 9,243 spins. Not bad for the Raleigh ex-patriate.Chatham County Line's latest album IV came in at number 54 with 4,047 spins. Local label Yep Roc Records landed four albums on the list including IV, though it's not that shocking since Americana is the label's specialty.
