Big news from the folks at the Rock Hall benefit.
Jefferson Starship is taking time out of their busy schedule of playing Long Island YMCAs to make an appearance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame benefit concert on Sept. 20. (Playing the night before them at that same venue in NY? Rockapella. Just saying.)
Also announced today was Tom Constanten of The Grateful Dead, who is essentially a member of Jefferson Starship. He will be making the trek from his home in Charlotte for the gig.
I'd tell you more, but the forum where the benefit organizers have been making their official announcements currently loads to a blank page. Their server must be overloaded from all the hits they're getting.
At least they've finally announced musicians who are actually members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Four more headliners are supposed to be announced before the show, not including all the "special guests" who will just show up to play with all their buddies.
Given the theme of the event, I can't imagine who they'd be trying to get.

I feel bad for anyone who bought a ticket to this thing.
Everyone I have spoken to seems pretty jacked about the show. Someone must have dropped you on your head when you were a child or are you just OTR?
It would be nic if Melanie were to show up.

Valerie, i've enjoyed your blog in the past but you have lost all credibility with me. Out.
I think it's neat you could get a current shot of Starship. They look so relaxed and grandparently.
