Old Crow Medicine Show to release 'Tennessee Pusher' in September

Barn-burning string band Old Crow Medicine show have completed the follow-up to 2006's Big Iron World. The album is titled Tennessee Pusher and was produced by legendary producer Don Was who has worked with The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson and The Black Crowes among many others. Was called Old Crow "The Clash of bluegrass music" and "the smartest and finest purveyors of American music to come down the pike in decades."

Tennessee Pusher feature guests appearances by Jim Keltner on drums (whose album credits include John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, James Taylor and so many others) and Heartbreaker Benmont Tench on Hammond C-3 organ.

The album features 13 tracks and you can stream the first single, "Caroline," below. Tennessee Pusher will be out on September 23 via Nettwerk Records.

The album will be preceded by a digital release of the Caroline EP, due out on July 29. It will feature album cuts of "Caroline" and "Next Go 'Round" as well as the non-album track "Back To New Orleans."
