iTunes Single of the Week: Blind Pilot, "Go On, Say It"

This week's free single comes from the Portland duo Blind Pilot.

The song "Go On, Say It" is reminiscent of the mellow sounds of the Pacific Northwest like The Shins, Death Cab For Cutie and Elliott Smith. The song also shares a bit of the vibe of The Rosebuds debut album.

"Go On, Say It" has a catchy, yet somewhat melancholy melody. The strings and bells towards the end give the song a nice dynamic. The recording is loose and sounds like the song could have been cut live.

This is a cool, laid back tune that I recommend you check out.
