To close the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in Durham this weekend, the Carolina Theatre will be hosting a free screening of the film Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me as well as a live performance by Chris Stamey and his band The Fellow Travelers.The performance by The Fellow Travelers will kick things off at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, at the Carolina Theatre with the film screening scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
The film tells the story of the famed Memphis band who didn't achieve much commercial success but developed a big following years later and would influence much alternative rock and indie rock. Check out the trailer below.
