Not only is this show a rarity in that you will likely not see the Avetts play such a small capacity club any time soon again, but because Durham's Bombadil has been on a live show hiatus since June 2009 due to tendonitis in Daniel Michalak's hand.
Tickets for the show are limited to two per person and go on sale via etix at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 28. They will be $40. There will be a limited number of tickets available at CD Alley and the Cat's Cradle box office. The show will benefit The Methodist Home for Children as well as Carolina Farm Stewardship. Doors are at 6 p.m. with The Low Anthem going on at 7, Bombadil at 7:45 and the Avett Brothers at 8:30.
[UPDATE: The show has now sold out. It looks like it took about 20 minutes for all of the tickets to be gone, as we were still able to find tickets at about 10:20 a.m., but not any later. You had to be persistent because to many it seemed to sell out in a few minutes, but there were at least a few straggling tickets remaining a bit later.]

Later this week, The Avett Brothers will play a pair of New Year's shows at the Asheville Civic Center. The Low Anthem will provide support for their Thursday night show. After the new year, the group's next scheduled performance in the Carolinas is at Wilmington's Azelea Festival on April 8.

Sold out in less than a minute...at least, when I tried at my computer's stroke of 10:00, they were gone. Sheesh.
I am so excited for this, thanks to your twitter I knew about it last night! See you there!
wow those tickets didn't last long... i was one of the lucky ones. but had friends online at 10am that were left out.
Any idea how to get tickets now?? I really want to go!!!
If anyone has any spare tickets please let me know. I am willing to pay face value plus I will make an additional donation to the charities benefiting from the show.

Those set times seem crazy early. Would it be safe to assume they might be more like 7:30, 8:30, and 9:15-9:30?
The times are straight from the show announcement, so I wouldn't try to chance it and get there late.
