There is a groovy new free afternoon concert series that is set to kick off next week in Chapel Hill called the 5:40 Summer Music Series. The series, being put on by The ArtsCenter, will be held at East 54, which is on Environ Way near UNC's Finley Golf Course. It will happen every other Thursday starting on May 20 with Joe Romeo.The rest of the series will feature some cool bands including Hammer No More the Fingers, Birds & Arrows and The Moaners. Like the name implies, the series will start each week at 5:40 p.m. and folks are encouraged to bring a chair. Food and drinks will be available.
