Exciting news out of the Triangle this morning as Pitchfork announces that Chapel Hill's own The Love Lanuage have signed to Merge Records.
Band frontman Stu McLamb said he hopes this is a sign of good things to come.
"As of yesterday, I've overdrawn my bank account by $200, my girlfriend dumped me, and my car won't start. I think this Merge deal could be a real turning point."
Personally, this is something I'd been hoping for since rumors started flying earlier this summer that The Love Language would be moving from their current home at Bladen County Records. We look forward to seeing and hearing what comes out of this new local partnership!
