Telekinesis kills at Tir Na Nog, covers ELO

Telekinesis was at it again in Raleigh on Monday night, this time playing a free show at Tir Na Nog. It was a late show, but that didn't keep a nice-sized crowd from showing up.

The set was the same has the BugFest set on Saturday, with one key addition. Michael convinced Ivan during the acoustic portion of the set to sing Electric Light Orchestra's "Can Get You Out of My Head" with him. It was a great cover accompanied by a story Michael told about he an Ivan bonded over their love of ELO.

Now Telekinesis and The Rosebuds will embark on a month-long European tour, though The Rosebuds will make a brief stop in China (yes, China) before they make their way to Europe. We wish them safe travels and packed clubs.

Oh and I can't forget to mention Motor Skills (featuring Mike Dillon of Gross Ghost) who opened the show at Tir Na Nog. I only caught the last few songs of the set, but they were pretty damn funny, especially the song "Tickle Party" (you can stream the song on MySpace). The last few songs were very hip-hop based, though the song "Atomic Bomb" was more of a "traditional" rock song.
