Atlanta/Athens band Ponderosa will roll into the Triangle tonight for a show at Slims in downtown Raleigh. The show is scheduled to start a 9 p.m. according to Slim's MySpace page, but they sometimes start later than advertised. Tickets are just $3 and local lads Red Collar will also play.Ponderosa could be classified as southern rock, but that doesn't do them justice because the quality of the songwriting transcends the southern rock genre. The band are giving away an EP titled Moonlight Revival which you can download here. Though it's called an EP, there is a full ten songs including a few live tunes at the end.
