Dawes touring with Langhorne Slim, playing Carrboro

We brought you the info about Langhorne Slim's upcoming tour a few weeks ago and now it's been confirmed that one of the best "new" bands around will open the tour. That band is Dawes from Southern California. Two of the four members were in a band called Simon Dawes who released a great album titled Carnivore in 2006. The band dropped "Simon" and added a little twang reminiscent of The Band.

Dawes' debut album North Hills is due out September 29 via ATO Records, though the album already available via iTunes. Download the second track from the album "Love Is All I Am" below.


The fall tour will bring Langhorne Slim and Dawes to the Cat's Cradle on Sunday, November 15. Tickets are on sale now for $13 via etix.com. Check out the rest of the dates below.
