Just in case anyone was under the impression that Merge Records was winding down their 20th anniversary celebration...they're not.
Everyone's favorite Durham-based record label announced a companion for your record collection today — The Merge Records Companion. The CD-sized volume clocks in at 350 pages and features photos of every CD, record, EP, 7-inch, DVD and yes, cassette, that Merge released over its first 20 years, along with essays from label founders Mac McCaughan and Laura Ballance.
The limited edition book is available for pre-order now for $15.98 with all proceeds going to the charities chosen by the 14 SCORE! curators. It will ship to land in mailboxes on Nov. 3, so if you like to do your Christmas shopping early this is a perfect option.
And don't forget, tonight is the first book signing and reading by McCaughan and Ballance for Our Noise. Event dates and times are below.
Sept. 15 - 7 p.m. - The Regulator Bookshop - Durham
Sept. 17 - 3:30 p.m. - Bull's Head Bookshop - Chapel hill
