Merge Records has digitally released a compilation of Mac McCaughan's pre-Superchunk band Wwax titled Like It or Not. The band featured Mac as well as Wayne Taylor (of No Labels) and Brian Walsby (of Patty Hearst Shifter, Polvo). The studio tracks were recorded at Duke Kee Studios in Raleigh in 1987 and 1988.The release combines songs from the band's various 7" releases as well as two tracks from a cassette that was Merge's second ever release.
