Indie rock legend and former Husker Du and Sugar frontman Bob Mould is gearing for the release of his 10th solo album this fall and has joined the Merge Records family to bring it to the public.
The yet to be titled album has already been recorded with drummer John Wurster (Superchunk, Mountain Goats and many more) and Jason Narducy (Telekinesis, Robert Pollard). No other details are available yet.
Mould has recently been revisiting Sugar's 1992 debut album Copper Blue, playing it in its entirety at shows. He'll perform it at the Merge showcase at SXSW in Austin on March 16. More Copper Blue dates as well as touring in support of the new album is expected later this year.
