Elton John has enjoyed a widely acclaimed career over the past five decades, complete with dozens of gold and platinum albums, 29 consecutive top 40 hits and the number one selling single of all time. After a nine-year absense, he's returning to the Triangle this spring with a tour that will celebrate his most popular songs.
John will perform at Raleigh's RBC Center on Friday, March 16. Tickets start at $37 and will be available beginning Friday, January 27, at 10 a.m. via the venue box office and Ticketmaster.

Nice to see Elton John has a steady gig in Las Vegas. I saw ads for him at Caesars Palace when I went last year. It seems that ever since Celine Dion moved there and had her show there for so many years, holding long term stays in Las Vegas has become more appealing; even Garth Brooks is at the Wynn. It's still cool to see someone who's been in Las Vegas for a while go out on tour once in a while.
I almost forgot...this will be one of the first non-sports events to come to the PNC Arena. Be sure to update those tags!
