Annuals gear stolen over holidays, new EP in March

Some bad luck hit Annuals just days before they are scheduled to headline the First Night New Year's celebration in downtown Raleigh. MyNC.com is reporting that the band's practice space in downtown Raleigh was burglarized over the holidays between the dates of December 15 and 29.

Among the stolen items are a Gibson Les Paul guitar with a tiger's eye wood finish (I believe the photo on the right is of the guitar in question), a Taylor brownish-red electric guitar, a Korg Triton LE keyboard, a MicroKorg synthesizer, a vocal effects pedal, two Shure SM57 mics and a Shure SM58 mic. If you have any information pertaining to the robbery, contact the Raleigh Police Department at 919-996-3555 or CrimeStoppers at 919-834-HELP.

The new year's eve show will go on though thanks to borrowed gear from fellow local musicians. Besides Thursday night's show, the band are also slated to play The Pour House in Raleigh on Friday, February 19 with Gray Young and Bright Young Things. Tickets for the show will be $10.

In other, more upbeat news, the band will release a brand new four-song EP on March 30 March 23, 2010 via Banter Media's record label titled Sweet Sister. Check out the track list below.

Sweet Sister track list:
1. Loxtep
2. Turncloaking
3. Sweet Sister
4. Hollar and Howl
