The Avett Brothers releasing 'The Carpenter' in September, listen to "Live and Die"

Fresh off of a performance on Conan last week and in the midst of a U.S. tour, The Avett Brothers have just announced the initial details of their highly anticipated sixth full-length album The Carpenter.

The album will be out on September 11 and will be the band's second major label release. Uber-producer Rick Rubin is once again at the helm and NPR has premiered the album's second track, "Live and Die." Check it out HERE.

Hopefully The Avetts will return to the Triangle before the end of the year to celebrate the album's release, but it took the band a year to play the Triangle after the release of I and Love and You.
