Lost in the Trees signs with Anti- Records

One of the best and most ambitious bands in the Triangle, Lost in the Trees, are moving on up in the world. The band, led by songwriter and singer Ari Picker, have inked a deal with Anti- Records. The label is home to many great artists including Neko Case, Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Dr. Dog.

The label will rerelease Lost in the Trees full-length album All Alone in an Empty House on May 11 with two new tracks. The album will finally be available on CD at the time. Via Trekky, the album was vinyl or download only.

Speaking of Trekky, the label posted a statement saying that they would still be involved in the growth of Lost in the Trees.

Lost in the Trees have a few upcoming shows including a swing through SXSW in Austin, TX and a big hometown show at the Cat's Cradle on Saturday, May 15. Details for that show are not available yet. Check out all the dates below.

It was available on CD via Trekky, too. When you bought the album, it was a vinyl, CD, and mp3 download package.

I'm very aware of that, but you still had to pay the extra price for vinyl to get the CD. That certainly doesn't count.
