Amazing singer-songwriter and producer Alex Chilton, best known as part of the band Big Star, has died at the age of 59. He was taken to a New Orleans hospital where he was pronounced dead. He is believed to have suffered a heart attack.Chilton was scheduled to to perform with Big Star at the SXSW Music Conference in Austin, TX on Saturday, March 20.
