Camera Obscura, Billy Sugarfix coming to Duke Gardens

We have two more bands set to play the "Music in the Gardens" series organized by Duke Performances in Duke Gardens each summer. I've been itching to tell everyone that Scottish pop band Camera Obscura will be playing for little while. They will play the gardens on June 2.

Local rocker Billy Sugarfix is also set to play the gardens this summer, though considerably later. He will bring his new project dubbed Billy Sugarfix's Carousel, a five-piece chamber pop group, to the great outdoors on July 28.

So get your picnic gear and your ears ready for a great summer. Check out the complete "Music in the Gardens" series we've confirmed so far below.

2010 Duke Gardens series:
05.26.10 - Annuals
06.02.10 - Camera Obscura
06.29.10 - Samantha Crain & the Midnight Shivers
07.14.10 - The Kingsbury Manx
07.28.10 - Billy Sugarfix's Carousel

Wow. Camera Obscura. They packed the Cat's Cradle last Fall. But as we saw last year with the Rosebuds, Duke Gardens doesn't seem to have a "sold out" status.

The Duke Gardens will, indeed, have a sold out status for Camera Obscura. We won't, I promise, admit any more than we had for the Rosebuds - 1,000, including kiddies, if anyone is counting.

Thanks,

The Management
