Woods release new album, announce new single & summer tour

New York indie rockers Woods just released a new album in April titled With Light and With Love and have already planned to release a new 7" single on July 8 titled "Tambourine Light." The band will hit the road on a summer tour that will bring them to the Triangle.

Woods will play Local 506 in Chapel Hill on Saturday, August 23. Ticket information is not available yet but we'll let you know when it is.

Holiday music from Woods - "Christmas Time is Here"

Christmas music is being released in earnest now that we're well into the holiday season, and the latest track comes from Brooklyn-based lo-fi folk band Woods.

The band has released a cover of the Charlie Brown and Vince Guaraldi classic, "Christmas Tine is Here" as a gift to fans. Download the song below.

The band with play Kings in Raleigh on Thursday, December 15 with MMOS. Tickets are available now via Etix for $10.

Woods announces December tour, coming to Raleigh

Lo-fi New York band Woods are hitting the road this December supporting their most recent album Sun and Shade, released in June and a new 7" Find Them Empty released in July.

The band will play Kings Barcade in Raleigh on Thursday, December 15 with MMOSS. Tickets are on sale now via etix for $10.

More bands added to Hopscotch Festival line-up

The announcement of additional bands set to play the massive Hopscotch Music Festival is a bit late, but it's finally here. There have been 18 performers added to the bill are as diverse as the rest of the line-up. Additions include Raekwon, Bowerbirds, Woods and Swedish band Dungen. There are also a number a new local bands added. Check out the complete list of additions after the break.

VIP wristbands for the festival sold out really fast, but there are still standard all show and club show wristbands as well as individual tickets for the big shows featuring Panda Bear and Public Enemy available via etix.
