Hopscotch Day 2: 9th Wonder 'All Night'

We've got a little more Hopscotch Festival coverage for you. Photographer Joanna Palmisano has been kind enough to share some of her photos from the festival with us, starting with a set from 9th Wonder's big show at Lincoln Theatre on Friday, Sept. 10 featuring Raekwon, Kaze, Rapsody and many, many others. More bands added to Hopscotch Festival line-up

The announcement of additional bands set to play the massive Hopscotch Music Festival is a bit late, but it's finally here. There have been 18 performers added to the bill are as diverse as the rest of the line-up. Additions include Raekwon, Bowerbirds, Woods and Swedish band Dungen. There are also a number a new local bands added. Check out the complete list of additions after the break.

VIP wristbands for the festival sold out really fast, but there are still standard all show and club show wristbands as well as individual tickets for the big shows featuring Panda Bear and Public Enemy available via etix.

Bands rock for Obama at the Cradle

With the political season getting more intense as November 4 draws closer and closer, local bands are getting involved. Hammer No More the Fingers, Tooth, Kaze and AC Bushnell Mosadi Music will be joined by Washington, D.C., band Caverns for a night music supporting presidential hopeful Barack Obama. The night will feature everything from metal to hip-hop to Americana to experimental music. This diverse bunch of musicians have found common ground in their support for Senator Obama which brings them together for this unique show.

100 percent of the proceeds from the event will go to the Barack Obama campaign fund. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 on the day of the show. Advance tickets are available via etix.com.

As election day draws closer, the Triangle is likely to see more election themed shows since Sentator Obama has declared North Carolina a battleground state.
