Say Anything announce full band summer tour with string quartet

Los Angeles rockers Say Anything will hit the road this summer on a big tour where they will be accompanied by a string quartet. The tour will include support from Modern Baseball, Cymbals Eat Guitars and Hard Girls.

The four bands will play the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Thursday, July 2. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 3, via Ticketfly for $18.

Say Anything's latest album Hebrews was released last year. Check out the music video for "Six Six Six" from the album below.

Cursive announces tour with Cymbals Eat Guitars, coming to Raleigh

Nebraskan band Cursive are gearing up to release their seventh studio album I Am Gemini on February 21 via Saddle Creek Records. A lot of touring will follow the release, including a spring tour with Cymbals Eat Guitars and Conduits.

The tour will stop at Kings Barcade in Raleigh on Saturday, April 7. Tickets will go on sale at noon on Friday, January 6 via Etix for $15.

Cymbals Eat Guitars announce tour with Hooray For Earth, coming to Chapel Hill

New York rockers Cymbals Eat Guitars are hitting the road this fall in support of their new album Lenses Aliens, due out on September 14. Hooray For Earth will be along for the ride as the opening act.

The bands will come to Local 506 in Chapel Hill on Monday, September 26. Tickets are on sale now via etix for $10.

Hooray For Earth just released a new album titled True Loves. Check out the title track from the album below. Cymbals Eat Guitars covered Superchunk's "Detroit Has a Skyline" for the A.V. Club last year. Check out the performance HERE.

Cymbals Eat Guitars covers Superchunk's "Detroit Has a Skyline"

After 22 of 25 songs of the A.V. Club's Undercover series, where band's pick songs from a list of 25 songs to cover. With only three songs left to cover, someone finally chose Superchunk's "Detroit Has a Skyline." The band is the New York quartet Cymbals Eat Guitars. Watch their frantic performance of the song below.
