Quirky local pop group Bombadil appear to be gearing up for a big celebration of their 2009 album Tarpits and Canyonlands. The band has been posting album art images from the album (like the one to the right) on Facebook this week a caption that reads "6/24/14."
The Cat's Cradle just added a new Bombadil show to their calendar on Saturday, June 21, listed as a "Record release show for Tarpits and Canyonlands." River Whyless will open. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 25, via Ticketfly for $10.
The band was actually forced to cancel their original Cat's Cradle release show for the album in 2009 when they went on a temporary hiatus due to Daniel Michalak's worsening tendonitis. The band returned to active status in 2010 and have stayed active since.
We'll let you know more details about the aforementioned "6/24/14" date once we have more information, so stay tuned.
