After the awesome initial announcement of Steve Martin and Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell, Punch Brothers and a special collaboration between Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Béla Fleck, Alison Krauss, Del McCoury, Tony Rice and Mark Schatz, a slew of new performers and details emerged on Tuesday for the special two-day event.
In addition to the artists previously mentioned, there will also be performances by The Gibson Brothers, The Seldom Scene and Dailey & Vincent featuring Jimmy Fortune, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Ronnie McCoury, The Krüger Brothers and Kickin' Grass Band, and many more. The festival will take place on September 27 and 28 at the Red Hat Amphitheater and the Raleigh Convention Center. Tickets will go on sale to the general public (non-IBMA members) on Wednesday May 29 via Etix. Single day tickets will be $50 (general admission) or $70 (reserved) and two-day tickets will be $100 (general admission) or $140 (reserved).
In addition to the ticketed event there will also be a free street festival featuring more than 50 bands on three stations as well as other fun activities.
