Local indie rock icons Superchunk waited nine years before releasing their last new album Majesty Shredding in 2010 but fortunately fans won't have to wait until 2019 for their next release. The band will release their tenth, I Hate Music, on August 20 via Merge Records on CD, LP, deluxe LP vinyl and as a digital download.According to the press release for I Hate Music, the album is said to be the "dark twin" of Majesty Shredding. The band will hit the road to support the release which include a big show at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Saturday, August 24. Tickets will go on sale at noon on Friday, May 17, via Ticketfly for $15.
