Koka Booth Amphitheater switches to Etix in 2012

In a big move for Cary's Koka Booth Amphitheatre, the venue has announced that they will be changing ticket providers starting in 2012. The ticket behemoth Ticketmaster is out and the North Carolina based Etix is in.

Anyone who has bought an advanced ticket to a club in the Triangle is likely already very familiar with Etix, as they've been a staple in the area for many years.

The big thing to watch for in Koka Booth's new season is whether prices will be lower. According to a statement from the venue, patrons should see a drop in ticket fees.

One of the most identifiable changes is that across all ticket levels customers can expect lower ticketing fees than in the past. ... Etix fees are more reasonable and those savings can be passed along to the consumer.
An additional feature that the change will provide is the ability to purchase tickets directly from the venue's Facebook page.

We'll certainly be keeping an eye on the first Koka Booth concert announcements of 2012, which should come early in the new year, to see everything roll out. Stay tuned.
