NHL All-Star game brings free concerts to downtown Raleigh

The NHL All-Star Game is being held at the RBC Center this weekend, and the celebration is spilling into downtown Raleigh with some free concerts and events dubbed NHL All-Star Wide Open.

First, at the Downtown Raleigh Amphitheater, 3 Doors Down (yeesh) is headlining a show on Friday, January 28 with Performing Assets and  Zamboni's. On Saturday, January 29, the amphitheater will host Chuck Wicks, Airiel Down, Zamboni's, Hank Sinatra, Big Daddy Love and Chris Hendricks. On Friday the music starts at 6 p.m. and on Saturday it starts at 11 a.m.

One of the best lineups of the weekend is at the Fayetteville and Martin Street stage on Saturday, January 29 which will feature The Small Ponds and Luego as well as The Design, Radio Wave Band: Little Wing and The Lasting Happiness. Luego hits the stage at 2 p.m. followed by The Small Ponds.
