In addition to all the the music that will be filling the night during the Hopscotch Festival on Sept. 9, 10 and 11, there will be a boatload of free day parties on those days hosted by a wide variety of labels, promoters and other folks.In addition to the day parties, there will also be a pair of pre-shows on Wednesday, Sept. 8, a screening of Animal Collective's film Oddsac, an author and artist discussion series and a few day after events on Sept. 12. Be sure to check out these shows since they feature many bands that aren't playing the main festival (Los in the Trees, The Flute Flies and Valient Thorr, just to name a few) as well as bands you can catch during the day so you can see a wider variety of bands.

Great resource, thanks! Should have included the extras at each event like free beer, free food etc., though.
