Local band Bowerbirds have decided to cancel all of their upcoming North American tour dates except for two. According to Pitchfork, the band are citing exhaustion as the reason for the cancellations. The band just wrapped up an European tour and have been touring heavily all year.The canceled shows includes two weeks of shows with Calexico. That exposure would have been great for the band. The dates with Calexico included a Cat's Cradle date on November 12 which is among the canceled shows. It has yet to be announced who, if anyone will replace the Bowerbirds on the Calexico dates.

Oct 11 08 - Norfolk, VA - Attucks Theatre
Dec 13 08 - Madison, GA - Madison-Morgan Cultural Center
