Liars open for Interpol at Disco Rodeo

Los Angeles band Liars will open for Interpol at Disco Rodeo in Raleigh on September 16. The band has a dark, post-punk sound, fairly similar to Interpol.

Liars will have a new self-titled record due out on August 28 which they'll be promoting. Check out songs from the new album on the band's myspace page. Also, download a remix mp3 below.

hey man great announcement, but you've got it wrong--Liars met in LA, but aren't an LA band. They're a NY band based out of Berlin right now--they go their start in the Williamsburg Brooklyn scene with TV on the Radio, YYY's, etc. . .former rhythm section members are now in the band n0 things (also a NY band). . .looking forward to the show!

Nice info.

Liars claim LA as their hometown on their myspace page. A lot of bands that move to NYC still claim their original hometown in press releases and on their myspace page, so that's what I based my post on.

We can't make it out tonight, so let us know how the show was.
