The Love Language to play stripped down Schoolkids in-store

Other than their performance at the Hopscotch Festival next in September 11 with Public Enemy and No Age, The Love Language did not have any Triangle shows on the books, until now.

The band will stop by Schoolkids Records in Raleigh on Saturday, Aug. 21 for an acoustic performance. It will get started at 4 p.m. and is obviously free. The band's new album Libraries has been riding high on Schoolkids bestseller list since it's release in July.

In September, the band will hit the road for the three weeks with Local Natives. Check out those dates below.

Schoolkids planning for big Record Store Day

With the third annual Record Store Day coming up this weekend on Saturday, April 17, Schoolkids Records on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh are going to have some big events going on. Besides the cool exclusives that will be available at the store, there will be a trio of heavy acts stopping by.

First, Sick Puppies will stop by the store for an acoustic performance and meet-and-greet at noon. They are releasing a Record Store Day exclusive CD titled Live & Unplugged.

Avett Bros. take in NC in one day

The Avett Bros. may be moving up in the world, but that doesn't mean they've forgotten where they come from.

May 15, the release date for their new album Emotionalism, the trio will take on central and western N.C. with a three city in-store spree.
